...is not only the reigning queen of country music but an iconic songwriter, musician, movie star and entrepreneur as well. She has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, won countless awards including eight CMA and seven Grammy Awards, has taken more than 20 songs to No. 1 and recorded 42 top 10 country albums. Her film career includes 9 to 5, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Rhinestone, Steel Magnolias and Straight Talk. In 1999, she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2001 she was inducted into the National Academy of Popular Music’s Songwriters Hall of Fame and in 2007 the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame gave her their Johnny Mercer Award. Dolly was awarded the Kennedy Center Honor in 2006. She continues to tour extensively and release albums at a prolific rate. Dolly is also proud to be a successful author and creator of the Imagination Library which provides books to pre-school children. It currently operates in all 95 counties in Tennessee and has expanded into 839 communities in 46 states, plus D.C., Canada and Europe. And last but not least, Dollywood — her very own theme park — flourishes in Tennessee.
Films: 9 to 5 (WGA nomination), A Wedding (WGA nomination, British Academy Award nomination) and Quintet (the latter two for director Robert Altman), Maxie, and Straight Talk which reunited her with Dolly Parton. Television work includes Hell On Heels: The Battle of Mary Kay which garnered Golden Globe nominations for Shirley MacLaine and Parker Posey. She recently Executive-Produced a 2009 animated series for Nick Jr. based on Olivia, the Caldecott Honor’s children’s book. Theatre work includes sketches for Lily Tomlin’s first one-woman Broadway show, Appearing Nightly, and a stage musical adaptation of her own PBS movie, Ladies in Waiting for the Chicago Lyric Opera House. Favorite screen appearance was as herself in The Player. Ms. Resnick is currently writing a memoir entitled Dancing with Nancy Reagan. She’d like to thank Tomlin, Altman and Fonda for being willing to take a chance on her, her children for putting up with seeing less of her and NutriFit for making sure there is now less of her to see by helping her lose 95 pounds by the opening of 9 to 5: The Musical.

Mr. Mantello also directed the film Love! Valour! Compassion! As an actor: Angels in America (Tony nomination) and The Baltimore Waltz. He is a recipient of Outer Critics Circle, Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, Helen Hayes, Clarence Derwent, Obie and Joe A. Callaway Awards. He is a member of Naked Angels and an associate artist at Roundabout Theatre Company.
